On November 30th, at 6:30 – 8:30 pm the Penn State University Equine Research Team will host a presentation featuring Dr. Carey Williams, Equine Extension Specialist from Rudgers University. The event will be held at 112 Forest Resources Building on PSU main campus.
Dr. Carey Williams’ topic will be “Riding and Research: mixing business with pleasure!” Williams regularly attends three day events on the east coast and has worked closely with some of the top U.S. riders. Dr. Williams, also Associate Director of Extension in the Equine Science Center at Rutgers, is a competitive three-day event rider and studies exercise physiology in horses focusing on how to decrease the stress of intense exercise. Her program will feature the latest findings in her research and she will offer insight into what top riders are feeding and supplementing and why.
