Thank You Wayne Township Landfill

Thank you to the Wayne Township Landfill. Each year they host a Golf Tournament where the proceeds are given to an organization or cause. This year the Clinton County 4-H Endowment was chosen as one of the two beneficiaries. As a result, $3,550 was raised to be put in the 4-H Endowment Fund! That you to the landfill and all those who participated.

4-H Officer Training

Clinton County 4-H Officer Training is less than 2 weeks away! Don't forget to register through E-data. This is for any 4-H member who would like to attend. Please register ASAP! This is mandatory due to the fact that we are serving lunch.

Christmas Parade

The local Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, November 28, t009. The Kiwanis organization is looking for 4-H Clubs to participate in this parade. If your club is interested, contact Barb Kellerman at (570) 726-6159 at least 2 weeks prior to the parade. This is a great opportunity to promote 4-H and your club!

Pictures Needed

Attention all 4-Hers and volunteers. We are currently looking for photos of 4-Hers doing 4-H activities for the End of the Year Slideshow that will be presented at the Clinton County 4-H Achievement Night. Please get any photos you may have to contribute to Rebecca Sellers or Amy Rankinen by November 4, 2009. Without your help, we will not be able to put together this slide show. If you are emailing photos, please send them to rad5003@psu.edu.

Congratulations to the Pine Creek Pioneers!!

Congratulations to the Pine Creek Pioneers for collecting the most Food Drive items out of all the Clinton County 4-H clubs. Their club collected 88 food items! They are the winners of the Pizza Party! Their leader will be contacted within the next several weeks to discuss the details of the Pizza Party. All clubs who participated did an excellent job of raising food items. 4-H Unlimited was close behind with 43 items. Susquehanna Haybalers took Third Place with 36 items. Also donating was Just for Kicks, Sugar Valley Ag, Hoof Beats and Barnyard Buddies! Great job to all! The food items you all donated will be distributed throughout Clinton County to the food banks.

Teen Leader Meeting Change

The November Teen Leader Meeting has been changed. The meeting will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at 6:00pm. Meetings will continue to the the first Thursday of each month in December. We hope to see you there!

Photography Workshops Available

There are two photography workshops being offered for 4-Hers and volunteers. This would be a great addition to a photography project. The first, which is Phase I will be held on October 27th and the second, Phase II, on February 2nd. Check it out and register on E-data.

Citrus Sale

Clinton County 4-H is once again selling fruit and nuts for the holidays. The sale will run through November 16th and the citrus will be delivered the week of December 14th. $2.50 profit per item will come back to 4-H. $0.50 will go to the designated 4-H club and $2.00 will go to Clinton County 4-H for countywide programming and activities. National 4-H Week will run from October 4th to the 10th. Help celebrate by sporting the 4-H Green and White, lending someone a helping hand or just simply spreading the word about 4-H. We all love it, so we might as well share it with the world! Happy 4-H Week!
